| About us
The restaurant is a tiny, intimate bistro situated in the historic village of Stein on the shores of Loch Bay, with wonderful views over to the Outer Isles. It is a must for anybody who loves fish and shellfish. David and Alison Wilkinson have been running Loch Bay now for 12 years. Put simply, David is the cook and Alison is the waitress. They have both followed careers in the hospitality industry all their working lives and are endlessly flattered that this unique, simple restaurant is so popular with people who live on Skye and of course, those visitors who seek out this remote spot. To be able to live and work in such magical surroundings certainly makes them feel very lucky despite the hard work! Loch Bay has been given an AA Rosette for many years, an Award for Excellence from Scotland the Best, a Certificate for Excellence from Trip Advisor, as well as entries in the Good Food Guide and Michelin Guide. They also own two beautiful seaside cottages in Stein. A perfect combination; a renowned restaurant within walking distance of wonderful self-catering accommodation. www.skye-cottage.co.uk |
